To many, newborn photography means putting baby in a bucket and adorning them with flower or bears. Or propping them up into adorable (but is that even natural?!) poses. Don’t get me wrong, I do admire these posed newborn photographs, but it’s just not my style. I much prefer my photographs to be relaxed and natural.

Also, many moms might not be ready to travel (to a photo studio) in their first few weeks postpartum. Opting for lifestyle newborn home photography gives you much more flexibility, and comfort.
The beauty of lifestyle newborn home photography is that no postings are required. We don’t need baby to sleep and nor be still for hours .
It doesn’t (really) matter if they’re crying or need a cuddle, or milk break or your toddler is having a meltdown. Our sessions are laidback and relaxed, photographing you and your family just as you are.
Difference between LIFESTYLE and STYLED newborn photoshoot
Lifestyle as the name suggested, is photographing you and your family in your natural environment (your home). None-posed, candid and real. We photograph the interaction between family members, unposed moments. Be it a kiss, sharing of biscuit, a cuddle on the bed.
Styled Newborn, are gorgeous series of images where baby is adored with different theme (avengers, Disney princess, flower, sailor, the list goes on). Seldom are family members in these styled series as we can hardly dress grandma up as a mermaid to go with the theme ya?

Is lifestyle HOME photoshoot better or styled photoshoot better?
This is entirely up to your individual preference but, photographs are meant to capture and preserve memories. A story if you will. We find lifestyle newborn photoshoots so much more meaningful. The endless cuddles today, will be a memory in years to come.
Styled pictures, while adorable, seldom tell any story nor hold much memories.
(Baby didn’t exactly asked to be dressed as Hulk did he?)
So to which is better? To us? Lifestyle of course. 🙂
