1. Preparing for a 1 year old Baby Photoshoot
Avoid baby’s napping time or when baby is sleepy/fussy. Best timings for photoshoot are usually after baby’s nap. I suggest either early morning or afternoon.
We have all the necessary props in studio, so just prepare 2 different coordinated sets of outfits will do.
Here’s a suggested packing list:
2 different baby outfits
Snacks for baby
Baby’s favourite toy/plushie
Daily necessities such as diapers / milk power/changing mat etc
Onesies, rompers and simple dresses are recommended. Colours should be kept light (white, pastel or beige are preferred).
Suggested fabrics: Cotton / linen and comfortable wears.
Avoid fabrics that are scratchy and stiff. Avoid overalls or suspenders. Avoid formal outfits you won’t normally dress baby in.
Coordinate with baby will do! Eg if baby is in a white romper, you should be in similar color tone and style too (think white cotton dress/white blouse/shirt with jeans)
We do have props to engage and let baby play with during the shoot (Eg Rocking horse, bears, baskets, bubbles) But do feel free to bring in any personalised props you would like to include!
Yes we do have little props like rocking horse, bears, bubbles etc to engage and play with baby during your 1st year photoshoot.
As we do not have a F&B license, No. We do not provide cakes. Do feel free to bring in your cake for a Cake Smash Session!
Yes! We have plenty of other photographer-activity beside cake smash.
Doljabi – a Korean / Chinese tradition where Baby is encouraged to grab one or two items from the set of objects where each choice represents a certain future, career or a lifestyle.
Baby Bathtub – We can also do baby in a tub picture, you can choice between tub with water or fabric or dry-bath.
Yes of course! Package is for up to 4pax, any additional pax or pet are at $30 each.
Ensure she is well-rested and well-fed. Try not to overstimulate her before the shoot. Keep things quiet before coming over to the shoot so she’s alert and ready to play!
We are a team of mother-photographers. Having photograph professionally for over 14years, our team do have one or two tricks up our sleeve. Oh Dear Studio has featured by various local medias (such as Best Family Photographer by Sassymama) as well as photo-awards from photography guilds.
2. During your baby’s 1 year old photoshoot
To ensure a smooth photoshoot, do be on time. If you would like to arrive earlier, 5 to 10 mins will be sufficient.
We do have a few tricks up our sleeves to coax smiles out of babies. But every baby has her own unique personality, a serious baby, a smiley baby or a vocal baby. We want to photograph her as she is!
We photograph with a self-taught technique call “Play & Engage”. We play and sing songs with babies while photographing and capturing their smiles. Some tricks also include letting baby crawl / walk by herself. Parents playing peek-a-boo with the little ones, tickling or tossing babies up.

There will typically be approximately 2 or 3 different unique settings in our colonial shophouse. See our Top 9 Photography settings here. The settings will largely depends on baby’s preferences but of course if you have anything special in mind, just let me know!
Approximately 80 or more images will be crafted for each 1-hour session. This includes a combination of baby’s solo, family, lifestyle, candid and/or studio formals.
Unfortunately, these would eat into our studio photography timing.
So do ensure baby is well-fed and rested before the shoot. Avoid timing where baby is usually napping or hungry.
3. After your 1 year old Baby Photoshoot
Your digital soft copies will be sent to you (via download link) within 10 working days after your shoot.
Soft copies return will all be professionally colour-corrected with signature warm toning. Ready to print or post (As you see on my social medias)
Just no further retouching on humans, Eg slimming/ airbrushing. These are not inclusive.
