2015 was my maternity shoot, 2016 was our first family shoot when my daughter turned one. 2020 was our second family shoot. Be it outdoors or studio, Melody is very good at capturing our emotions at that moment. Photo memories are precious because when we look back years later, we can still remember the feelings that we experienced then.
In my opinion, an experienced photographer has to be creative and meticulous about details and Melody has it all!

During the shoot, Melody guided and directed my fiancee and I expertly with the poses both inside and outside the studio. We were very comfortable following her directions and are delighted at how the photos turned out.
The studio was also easy to find and was very spacious, which means that a wide variety of poses can be done. Highly recommend this place!

First & foremost, apologies for the long overdue review. Melody Lin have been very patient with throughout the entire shoot. She is punctual, responsive and definitely well prepared with the essential props for the shoot done at our home.
The results? Stunning. Well preserved the memories for our little one. She knows exactly how to calm her down and put her into the perfect position for the perfect shot. Most importantly, Melody Lin isn’t a time watcher even though the shoot was supposed to last only over a 2 hour session.
Overall, we feel that our first encounter with Oh, Dear! Photography, is well worth what was delivered. @Melody Lin being a mother was also able to give precious advice through her experiences and our praises are just endless.

Would definitely use Melody for my family shoot again if there is a chance! She is great with kids and able to make them laugh / smile naturally at the camera. Especially my daughter who is always very shy towards strangers warm up to her almost instantly. Many great shots done as a result! Had my maternity shoot with Melody. She makes me feel very comfortable and at ease even though I was half naked and heavily pregnant. As a mother herself I guess she understands how difficult it is hence she makes sure safety come first before all the poses. Also had a 5 day newborn shoot with her thereafter and she was so gentle with baby and managed to get all the shoot quickly and accurately without waking baby. As a mother herself, I must say she really understand how it feels being pregnant and can handle newborn very well. Thumbs up, highly recommended.

I’ve done couple of sessions with Melody and I simply can’t recommend her enough to all my family and friends! She has a great flair of capturing my good angles (which i didn’t know i had) and kept the session light-hearted. She is well-versed in both studio and natural lighting. I love how she captures all the shots so naturally and in the moment.
The most memorable session was during our pre-wedding shoot when her peek-a-boo technique behind the curtains in the studio cracked my fiancé up so much.
The studio is very versatile for any genre of shoot and I love how convenient that the back of the studio is lined with old charmed peranakan shophouses, great for some outdoor shots too!

Skill: Melody knows exactly what she is doing, and how to make us feel comfortable being in front of the camera.
Poses: Almost no staged poses, all natural pose because we were so comfortable being around her after a while (after breaking the ice).
Personal r/s: Very friendly and understanding towards our needs. Eg; having to take 5 etc. Melody went the extra mile to suggest additional location which is slightly out of way (yet she didnt mind) but very meaningful to us (in front of our BTO site while its in the midst of construction).
Creativity: Melody has the magic finger to turn what you think is an awkward pose/situation/environment into something that looks like it pops right out from a magazine page. Believe in her. She can see things in a totally different angle from us.
Price: Super reasonable, considering the overall package.
Style: Suitable for people who likes natural, unstage, impromtu, candid photos/style.
