You want a Pre-wedding shoot that is unique, special and fun! But if the warm weather of Singapore is too much for you, yet a “traditional” studio shoot is not you.. How about a unique and romantic colonial-style studio set in a conservation shophouse sounds?
We recently hosted and photographed this very quirky pair (who are getting hitched end of this year!), they are in the creative lines – a journalist and a photographer! Read on for some inspiration for your own prewedding!
#1 unique twist to the typical kissing pose
let’s go for an eskimo-kiss instead! It’s sweet, romantic and most importantly, won’t smudge up your lipstick!
#2 How to smile at camera?
You don’t need to smile all the time! A don’t-smile-stare into the camera is a fun and unique way to add a bit of vintage flair into your photographs! Here we nailed it with a classic B&W process!
#3 Add some props to your pre-wedding shoot!
It does not have to be flowers! Sunglasses, photographs, sweets, anything really. Here we have some vintage shades that really adds charm to the entire image doesn’t? I adore it!

#3 – Does a pre-wedding shoot have to be in a studio?
A Prewedding Studio shoot does not have to be in a studio! Oh Dear Studio is housed in the historically rich Kampong Bahru, a quaint neighbour full of heritage peranakan houses. A stroll around our surrounding gives us beautiful angle and setting to shoot in! Quirky and unique indeed!
Korean inspired Prewedding look with our French style wall! I love the fun and romantic contrast of the whole image!
“I’ve done couple of sessions with Melody and I simply can’t recommend her enough to all my family and friends! She has a great flair of capturing my good angles (which i didn’t know i had) and kept the session light-hearted. She is well-versed in both studio and natural lighting. I love how she captures all the shots so naturally and in the moment. The most memorable session was during our pre-wedding shoot when her peek-a-boo technique behind the curtains in the studio cracked my fiancé up so much.
The studio is very versatile for any genre of shoot and I love how convenient that the back of the studio is lined with old charmed peranakan shophouses, great for some outdoor shots too!”

“I came to Oh Dear Studio for my pre-wedding shoot because I am impressed with the quality of photos taken by the owner, Melody. I was not disappointed.
During the shoot, Melody guided and directed my fiancee and I expertly with the poses both inside and outside the studio. We were very comfortable following her directions and are delighted at how the photos turned out.
The studio was also easy to find and was very spacious, which means that a wide variety of poses can be done. Highly recommend this place!”
